Create a national uss E-Library! | Jakob Lundgren
Create a national E-Library. . Today, the libraries in each municipality devise and maintain a system of E-books. This leads to large municipal costs and does administrative work of designing uss an appropriate and user-friendly system, and to keep work collection to date. To waste municipal resources in such projects, which could just as easily be coordinated at the national level, is both unnecessary and wasteful. Nor is it particularly desirable that we should have 290 different systems for e-books around the country. In order to achieve maximum impact with the resources at hand, there should be a National E-library. A web portal where all Swedish residents uss can have access to a digitized works collection. Such a library would be far much cheaper than all the others combined. It also has the potential to be better updated, more maneuverable and contain more works. . . Since e-books are only zeros and ones, which can be easily distributed to the entire country via the Internet, should funding for libraries used effectively to make a single good and user-friendly system at national level. . We claim that. The Green Party is working to establish a national e-library The Green Party is working to design a system so that the music and film can be included in works collection
Now it is a fact that virtually every public library buys an e-book service from e-lib which makes it look exactly the same on all municipal libraries anyway. uss So any admin conspicuously system at each library to be updated uss is hardly the case, instead of a private monopoly to relate to.
It is very possible, but both me and Niclas saw the need for national coordination and the investigation that SKL was released on Thursday will yield identical results. http://www.skl.se/web/Nationell_samordning_bra_for_bibliotekens_utveckling.aspx
