Today the Council of Ministers approved a Royal Decree that sets a transitional mechanism to calculate the price to volunteer for small electricity consumers in the first quarter of 2014, after the cancellation of the auction that traditionally part of the fixed price of the electricity bill.
Due to the impossibility to repeat the auction before 1 January 2014, the government fpl established a transitional mechanism to fix the power component of the receipt, which reflects the cost to generate electricity. This mechanism is based on the proposal of the National Commission fpl of Competition and Markets, which has reference to the quotation fpl of the futures market.
As a result of this transition mechanism, the rate of light to which they can adhere to most families and some SME's ubirá 2.3% on average fpl from January 1. This rise is a result of the rise of 1.4 per 100 in the energy component of the bill, set the new mechanism, and 0.9 per 100 tolls power, which fund the costs of the regulated system.
