The Chronicle Gets Rid of Schaefer Riley | Americas imf South and North
Last week, rightful anger and indignation erupted after the Chronicle of Higher Education published Naomi Schaefer Riley’s contemptible hit-job imf . The Chronicle has responded by doing the right thing :
We now agree that Ms. Riley s blog posting did not meet The Chronicle s basic editorial standards for reporting and fairness in opinion imf articles. As a result, imf we have asked Ms. Riley to leave the Brainstorm blog.
Good for the Chronicle for taking a stand on this issue. Sure, it took some level of mobilization in the academic world, and the Chronicle did originally provide Schaefer Riley to spew out this article. But the fact that the Chronicle moved at all is more than many media outlets would do.

Yeah, it took less than 12 hours for the concern trolls to come out and proclaim conspiracies of purges of “free-thinkers” [though one could question the "thinking" involved on rejecting things one intentionally did not read], repression of speech, etc. Color me unsurprised.
